What is a month on month growth?
Month-over-month (MoM) growth compares a metric in one month with the same metric in the preceding month. Use equivalent full-month periods and the same definition for both values. The percentage is not defined when the previous-month baseline is zero and the current value is non-zero.
Formula and calculation method
MoM growth (%) = (current month value − previous month value) ÷ previous month value × 100. Absolute change = current value − previous month value.
